EU Career Conversation
Make sense of where you are—and what to do next
30 minutes · Online · €79
Sometimes you do not need a complete coaching programme. You need an experienced person to help you step back, make sense of your situation and identify what deserves your attention first.
The EU Career Conversation is a focused, structured conversation covering the four stages of my UEPA approach at a high level:
Understand → Explore → Position → Act
This is for you if
You feel uncertain or stuck.
You are considering several possible directions.
You have recently completed—or are approaching the end of—a traineeship.
You are unsure which organisations or roles to target.
You want an informed outside perspective before deciding what to do next.
During the conversation, we will
Make sense of your current professional situation.
Explore the questions or choices you are facing.
Discuss where your experience may fit.
Identify one or two practical priorities.
Consider the most useful next step for you.
After the conversation, you will receive
A concise written summary covering:
your central career question;
the main insights from our conversation;
your immediate priorities;
suggested next steps and relevant resources.
This is a focused career conversation rather than an in-depth coaching session. If your situation requires deeper exploration or a complete career strategy, I may recommend a Career Direction Session—but there is no obligation to continue.
EU Career Direction Session
Build a clearer direction and career strategy
75 minutes · Online or in Brussels · €149
The Career Direction Session gives us the time to look more deeply at your background, ambitions and options.
Together, we clarify what you bring, explore where your profile could fit and turn a broad career question into a more focused direction.
The session concentrates primarily on the first two stages of UEPA:
Understand → Explore
We will also begin considering how you can position yourself for the opportunities that fit.
This is for you if
You need more than a general conversation.
You are preparing for life after a Blue Book or another traineeship.
You are deciding between different sectors, organisations or career paths.
You want to move into EU affairs, public policy, consulting or related work.
You have been applying without a clear strategy.
You need greater clarity before improving your CV or applications.
Before the session
You will be invited to share relevant background information and documents. Depending on your objective, this may include your CV, LinkedIn profile, previous applications or examples of roles that interest you.
During the session, we will
Review your background, experience and career objectives.
Identify your strengths and transferable skills.
Explore your professional identity and emerging narrative.
Assess realistic career directions and role types.
Identify relevant organisations or parts of the EU affairs ecosystem.
Agree on clear priorities and practical next steps.
After the session, you will receive
A personalised written summary.
A clearer career direction.
Suggested role types or target organisations.
Key points for your professional narrative.
A practical action plan.
Relevant resources where appropriate.
This session gives you a strategy you can begin implementing independently. If you would like support with positioning, applications and implementation, you can continue with the Coaching Programme.
EU Affairs Coaching Programme
Turn your direction into action
Three personalised sessions · Online or in Brussels · €595
The Coaching Programme is for people who want structured support across the full career journey—not only clarity about what to do, but help putting it into practice.
Across three personalised sessions, we work through the complete UEPA framework:
Understand → Explore → Position → Act
The exact focus is adapted to your situation. You will leave with a clearer direction, stronger positioning and a practical strategy for moving forward.
Because the programme is personalised and includes support between sessions, I work with a limited number of coaching clients at a time.
This is for you if
You want continued support rather than a single session.
You need to clarify your direction and strengthen how you present yourself.
You are actively pursuing opportunities in EU affairs.
You want a more focused approach to applications and networking.
You need structure, accountability and practical feedback.
You are ready to invest time in implementing your strategy between sessions.

Depending on your needs, this may include:
strengthening your professional narrative;
reviewing your CV, LinkedIn profile or applications;
connecting your experience to targeted opportunities;
developing a more focused job-search approach;
planning relevant networking and visibility activities.
Session 3: Act
We translate your strategy into practical action and prepare you for the next stage.
Depending on your situation, this may include:
reviewing progress and adjusting your strategy;
preparing for interviews;
strengthening how you communicate your experience;
developing a targeted action plan;
agreeing on priorities for the following 60–90 days.
Throughout the programme, you receive
Three personalised coaching sessions.
A career strategy tailored to your objectives.
Practical exercises and preparation between sessions.
Strategic feedback on relevant application materials.
A final action plan.

A clear framework for moving your EU career forward
My framework follows four connected stages:
Understand your experience, strengths, priorities and current situation.
Explore realistic roles, organisations and paths across the EU affairs landscape.
Position your profile clearly for the opportunities you want to pursue.
Act through focused applications, conversations and practical next steps.
You do not always need to complete every stage with me. The right service depends on where you are now and how much support you need.
The framework gives our work structure while remaining flexible enough to reflect your situation. Career development is rarely linear. We may move between them as your thinking and opportunities develop.

What is the difference between the Career Conversation and the Direction Session?
The Career Conversation provides a high-level perspective on your situation and helps you identify your immediate priorities.
The Direction Session goes deeper into your background, strengths, professional narrative, realistic career options and target organisations. It results in a more developed career strategy and action plan.
Do I need to be based in Brussels?
No. Many clients are based elsewhere in Europe and are planning a move into the Brussels EU affairs market.
Do you help with EPSO competitions?
No. I do not provide training for EPSO tests or competitions. My work focuses on career direction, professional positioning, applications, interviews and the wider EU affairs job market.
Do you work only with recent graduates?
No. I work with graduates, trainees and professionals at different stages of their careers—from people exploring their first EU affairs role to experienced professionals considering a transition.
Do you rewrite CVs and cover letters?
No. I provide strategic guidance and detailed feedback so that your documents reflect your own experience and voice. The aim is to help you understand how to create stronger, more targeted applications—not simply to produce one document for you.
Can you help me find suitable organisations?
Yes. Depending on the service, we can explore relevant sectors, role types and target organisations across EU institutions, consultancies, trade associations, NGOs, EU agencies, joint undertakings and EU-funded projects.
What if I already have an interview?
Book an Interview Preparation Session. If you are already completing the Coaching Programme, one of the three sessions can be adapted to an active interview opportunity.
Ready to find your next step?
Whether you need one focused conversation or more structured support, we can start from where you are now.
